PEPPER OF CARMAGNOLA

One of the most famous local products of Piedmont is the pepper of Carmagnola for which the Ministry for Agriculture has embarked on the investigation for approving the protected geographical indication.

In the Carmagnola countryside,in Piedmont, the cultivation of pepper begins in the early 1900.
Given the purely agricultural vocation of the area until after the Second World War is being developed intensively the cultivation of pepper Carmagnola thanks to ensure good yields.


Carmagnola pepper is a fundamental ingredient of "bagna caoda" the traditional Piedmont recipe.
